What happens today

Nothing you write or answer is sent to an AI provider. The service does not currently use AI for any feature. No question, answer, message or study record leaves our systems for AI processing.

Questions in the bank are written and reviewed by people. Where AI has been used to draft material, a person has reviewed it before it reached a student.

What we commit to when AI features arrive

These limits are written down now, so they are checkable later rather than negotiable.

What would be sent:

• Summaries of performance — which topics are weak, how recently they were practised.
• Syllabus codes and topic names.
• Short messages you choose to write, if you use a feature that asks for one.

What would never be sent:

• Your name or email address.
• Your date of birth.
• Images, including anything in a question you are shown.
• Payment information.

Any AI provider used would be named on this page before the feature was switched on, and listed as a processor on the privacy page.

AI is not a teacher, and not a marker

Anything an AI feature produces is a suggestion about what to study, not a grade, not advice, and not a prediction of your result. Marks come from your answers against the answer key, which is checked on our servers.

Reporting something wrong

If a feature produces something inaccurate, unfair or upsetting, tell us at [support email not set] and we will look at it. There is also a report control on every question.
